Elokuun teemana on butoh & kirjoittaminen. Varaathan mukaan tunneille kynän ja paperia!
Viikkotuntien lisäksi luvassa on myös viikonlopputyöpaja (ks. Elokuun työpaja -kohta alempaa), joka siirtyi heinäkuulta vähäisen osallistujamäärän vuoksi. Elokuun butoilut toteutan yhteistyössä Yläkulttuuri ry:n kanssa, Kansalaisfoorumin tuella. Osallistujan näkökulmasta tämä ei tuo muita muutoksia kuin sen, että maksut hoidetaan yhdistyksen kautta joko käteisellä tai kortilla.
Viikkotunnit ovat keskiviikkona 3.8., 10.8., 17.8., 24.8. ja 31.8. Mahdollisuuksien Talolla klo 17–19. Drop-in -käytäntö jatkuu, eli voit ilmaantua paikalle silloin, kun sinulle sopii. Sinun ei tarvitse ilmoittaa tulostasi ennakkoon. Tiedotan mahdollisista muutoksista sekä sähköpostitse että Iloluonnon sivuilla. Voit myös tiedustella minulta tilannetta puhelimitse tai sähköpostilla: 040 166 2655 (WA, Signal, tekstiviesti) / iloluonto ( ät ) gmail.com.
Hinta on tuttuun tapaan 5–10 € ja maksuvaihtoehtoina korttimaksu ja käteinen. Huomaathan, että halutessasi voit maksaa viikkotuntien yhteydessä useampiakin kertoja ennakkoon. Ennakko-ostokset ovat voimassa 2022 kauden loppuun eli 14.12. saakka. Tämä koskee myös elokuun ennakko-ostoksia!
Elokuun työpaja ja vieraileva opettaja
Elokuun teemaan butoh & kirjoittaminen syvennytään pe-la 19.–20.8. järjestettävässä työpajassa. Vierailevana opettajana ja järjestäjänä on Saara Vaheristo. Tällä tietoa työpaja on pe klo 17:30–20:30 ja la 11:30–17:30. Osallistumismaksu on 25–35 € maksukyvyn mukaan. Tarkemman kuvauksen työpajasta löydät täältä. Ilmoittaudu työpajaan viimeistään keskiviikkona 17.8.: makitorppa ( ät ) ylakulttuuri.fi.
Mikäli sinua kiinnostaa vierailevan opettajan osa tai tietyn menetelmän tutkiminen yhteisohjauksessa butoh-viikkotunneilla ja/tai työpajoissa, ota yhteyttä minuun! Syksyllä on vielä hyvin tilaa odottamattomille yhdistelmille – mieluiten kuukauden teemoja kunnioittaen (ks. heinäkuun tiedote), mutta tämä on toki neuvoteltavissa. Sopikaamme käytännön järjestelyistä ja korvauksista keskenämme jahka jonkinlaisen toimintamallin olemme löytäneet.
Avoin haku: Tanssijoita marras-joulukuussa esitettävään tanssiteokseen
Etsin 1–5 tanssijaa tanssiteokseen, jonka ennakkoesitys on lauantaina 26.11. Lauantai-SETissä (Villa Rana, Jyväskylä). Tämän lisäksi esityksiä on mahdollisesti joulukuussa 1–3. Teoksen kesto on noin 10 minuuttia. Harjoitukset ovat loka-marraskuussa, mieluiten arki-iltaisin noin pari tuntia kerrallaan. Tarkemmat ajat sovitaan tuonnempana tanssijoiden kanssa.
Aiempaa kokemusta tanssista tai katseen alle asettumisesta ei tarvita; tärkeintä on mahdollisuus sitoutua harjoitusprosessiin ja esitykseen / esityksiin. Voit ilmoittautua mukaan joko kasvokkain Anthonille tai sähköpostitse: iloluonto ( ät ) gmail.com.
Teoksen tausta: “Kulmikkuus hiekkarannalla ja ihmisten hälyä” on säveltäjä-muusikko Juha Kuurajärven säveltämä ja sovittama teos klarinetille ja jousikvartetille. Keväällä 2022 sävellys sai seurakseen samannimisen runon, ja sittemmin Anthoni Levonsaari on luonut kokonaisuuteen koreografian 1–5 tanssijalle.
Syksyn Butoh2-ryhmä
Jos sinua kiehtoo ajatus syventävistä butoh-harjoitteista ja/tai katseen alle asettumisesta, voit liittyä Butoh2-ryhmään, joka kokoontuu 15.9.–15.12.2022 välillä Mäkitorpalla (Pitkäkatu 25, Jyväskylä). Tapaamiset ovat torstaisin klo 17:30–19:30. Ryhmä on suljettu, eli syyskuun tutustumisvaiheen jälkeen uusia jäseniä ei enää loppukaudeksi oteta mukaan. Ilmoittaudu mukaan joko kasvokkain Anthonille tai sähköpostitse: iloluonto ( ät ) gmail.com.
Etsin parhaillaan rahoitusta ryhmälle. Osallistuminen on lähtökohtaisesti maksutonta. Halutessasi voit tukea toimintaa vapaaehtoisella rahaisella lahjalla, jonka voit antaa esimerkiksi kokoontumisen yhteydessä. Lahjoituksilla katetaan mm. tilakustannuksia.
Ryhmällä ei ole etukäteen asetettua teemaa tai tavoitetta. Lähestymme butoh’a sellaisista lähtökohdista, jotka tukevat ryhmän sen hetkisiä tarpeita ja kiinnostuksen kohteita. Yhteisellä päätöksellä voimme järjestää erilaisia esillä olon tuokioita: esimerkiksi pop-up esitys, videoteos, läheisille suunnattu rituaali…

The theme of the month is butoh & writing. When attending classes, please bring pen and paper!
In addition to weekly classes we’ll have a weekend workshop (check below: Workshop of the month), which was removed from July because there weren’t enough participants. In August I organize the butoh gatherings in collaboration with the Yläkulttuuri association and with the support of Kansalaisfoorumi. From the participant’s perspective the only changes are that the payment options are card and cash, because the financial transfer is covered by the association.
The weekly classes are on Wednesday 3.8., 10.8., 17.8., 24.8. and 31.8. at 17–19 on Mahdollisuuksien Talo. The drop-in -arrangement continues, so you may appear on the classes that suit your timetable. You don’t have to register in advance. In case of changes I will notify you about arrangements by email and on Iloluonto’s webpage. You may also check the situation by telephone or email: 040 166 2655 (WA, Signal, SMS) or iloluonto ( ät ) gmail.com.
The fee is the usual 5–10 € and the payment options are card and cash. Please notice that you may also pay when in weekly classes several times in advance, if you wish. The prepaid purchases are valid until the end of season 2022 e.g. 14.12. This applies to all the pre-purchases in August, too!
Workshop of the month and guest teacher
We’ll deepen the theme of the month, butoh & writing, in a workshop on Fri-Sat 19.–20.8. The guest teacher and co-organizer is Saara Vaheristo. As far as we’re concerned, the schedule is on Fri at 17:30–20:30 and on Sat at 11:30–17:30. The costs are 25–35 € according to one’s capacity to pay. The details you’ll find here. If you wish to (co-)teach or explore a certain method in butoh-classes and/or in workshops, please contact me! It would be lovely to find room for surprising approaches in autumn, too. Preferably they’d follow the themes of the month (please check July’s newsletter), but that’s negotiable. Let us agree on arrangements and compensations in detail whence we have created a plan.
Open call: Dancers for a performance in November-December
I’m looking for 1–5 dancers for a dance piece which has its premiere on Sat 26.11. on Lauantai-SET -event (Villa Rana, Jyväskylä). In addition there might be 1–3 performances in December. The duration of the piece is approx. 10 minutes. The rehearsals are in October-November, preferably on the evenings of the weekdays, a couple of hours at a time. We’ll figure out the exact times with the dancers later on.
No former experience in dance or performing is required; the most important quality is to be able to commit to the training process and performance(s). You may register either by contacting Anthoni face-to-face or by email: iloluonto ( ät ) gmail.com.
Background: “Kulmikkuus hiekkarannalla ja ihmisten hälyä” (freely translated: “Angularity on a beach and human noises”) is a music piece for clarinet and string quartet, composed and orchestrated by composer-musician Juha Kuurajärvi. In Spring 2022 the composition was followed by a poem, and lately Anthoni Levonsaari has choreographed and adapted the piece for 1–5 dancers.
Butoh2-group starts in September
If you’re tempted by the idea of advanced butoh and/or performing, feel free to join Butoh2-group. We’ll gather between 15.9.–15.12.2022 on Mäkitorppa (Pitkäkatu 25, Jyväskylä) on Thursdays at 17:30–19:30. The group is “closed”, meaning that after the getting-to-know-phase in September there’ll be no new people joining for the rest of the season. Please register either face-to-face to Anthoni or by email: iloluonto ( ät ) gmail.com.
I’m currently searching for funding. Preliminary it’s free to participate. If you wish to support the work, please give a monetary gift; the donation can be given, for example, during the gatherings. The donations cover some of the rental costs etc.
The group has no predetermined theme or goal. We’ll approach butoh followed by our present needs and interests. With common decisions we may choose to organize performative moments: i.e. pop-up performances, video pieces, private rituals for close ones…
